my Elephant, Sri Hartamas

My family and I decided to celebrate Father's Day at my Elephant this year! The few times that i have been to my Elephant was when I was carolling with my church's youth group. Food would be served, and I will always leave the restaurant feeling satisfied, but i have never had a proper meal yet, so my mum decided to bring us to my Elephant! 

The restaurant's interior is very simple yet tastefully designed. 

The food we ordered were recommended by my friend who works in myElephant, so it's safe to say that we ordered really good dishes! 

myElephant’s Platter 

A combination of 3 mini-sized pieces of Thai Fish Cakes,

Fried PoPiah & Fresh PoPiah. With

the addition of Shrimp Toast & Prawn Wanton. 

The portion was big enough for all 8 of us. The popiah tasted delicious! 

Yum Mamuang Plah

Green Mango + Crispy Fish 

I'm not a big fan of green mangoes, but this dish was very refreshing and appetizing. 

myElephant Tom Yum Seafood 

myElephant’s SUPER Spicy

Tom Yum with Aromatic Fresh Thai Herbs. 

The soup was good with a lot of flavor, but was a little too spicy for me. 

 

Paku

Fern tips stir fried with belacan. 

This was really good! Enough said. 

Gaeng Keow Wan

Thai Green Curry myElephant Style 

The highlight of the night. This dish was everyone's favorite! Not too spicy, and leaves you wanting more. My little sister loved it as well. 

 

Special Egg Omelette

with Fish Otak-Otak. 

A very appetizing dish, but the portion was very small. 

Four Angle Bean  

Stir fry four angle bean with prawns. 

This was pretty delicious as well- it tasted just right.

Gai Tod Gratiam Prik Thai

Chicken Strips with Kaffir Lime Leaf,

Garlic and crushed Thai Peppercorn. 

Chicken strips has never tasted this good! I had to restrain myself from eating too many pieces. 

 Grilled Squid with Chilli & Salt. 

This dish was so- so. Didn't stand out as much compared to the other dishes.

My family always has room for dessert after dinner! My dad decided to order everything on the dessert menu. :D 

Durian Cheese Cake 

Unlike other cheese cakes, this one is frozen. Most of us love durian, so we ordered two plates of this. One bite wasn't enough. ;) 

Mango Cheese Cake 

This was really delicious as well. The mangoes were not too sweet, and the cheese cake wasn't too jelak. 

Mango Sticky Rice

The last time i ate Mango Sticky Rice was at some hawker stall in SS2, and it didn't leave a good impression on me. The one in my Elephant is really really good! The mangoes were sweet, and the rice wasn't too sticky and gooey. Everything about it was so good. :) 

Red Ruby

Water chestnut chopped into cubes and glazed with flour

 We had a great dining experience at my Elephant, and will definitely return.
