Chennai Xpress, Damansara Perdana

If you love authentic Indian cuisine - especially mutton, you have to visit Chennai Xpress, located at Damansara Perdana, a stone's throw away from The Curve, Ikea and IPC. It is located opposite Hong Leong Bank, and next to Atmosphere Hair Salon.

My date for the day was Vanessa! Managed to have a good catch up session with her despite not seeing each other for a few months. We were greeted by a very friendly waiter who was extremely helpful, and gave us recommendations of what to eat.

I arrived at 1.45pm, and it was really difficult to find parking. As you can see from the pictures, all the cars are double parked!

We ordered item #2203, Chapatti, with 2 side dishes, Dhal and Mutton Parattal as well as Iced Calamansi Tea. We were then immediately served with papadam and a small glass of sauce. 

5 minutes later, our food came! The portion was large enough for the both of us (although it may not seem so), but it was pretty filling. The mutton was really succulent and tasty. It wasn't to spicy and tasted really delicious! Much better than the mutton at Devi's Corner in Bangsar.

After our satisfying meal at Chennai Xpress, Vanessa and I headed over to 1 Utama to do some shopping, and to meet up with her mum for tea at Miam Miam! Vanessa and I were excited to try their French Toast which was apparently really famous and delicious.

We topped on RM2 for gelato to be paired with the French Toast, and boy did it taste delicious! I prefer this compared to the french toasts that my mom loves... from Kim Gary/ Wong Kok. This is a drier version, and goes so well with maple syrup and the gelato. This was enough for the 3 of us. I felt really stuffed after that. I am not really a big fan of French Toasts, but this is my favourite so far.
